ProBalance™ Plus
Compressor Engineering (CECO) and MMS have collaborated to enhance the ProBalance system. The ProBalance Plus system makes keeping your slow-speed, natural gas-fueled engines in balance a snap! ProBalance Plus continuously monitors the peak firing pressures in up to 20 cylinders and automatically adjusts the electronic Fuel Gas Modulators (eFGMs) to maintain PFPs across the engine to a user-definable tolerance. The ProBalance Plus system generates an alarm if the engine is unbalanced or if any cylinder exceeds the user-definable PFP or standard deviation. The ProBalance Plus uses CECO-designed and manufactured eFGMs, which are based on their standard FGMs that have been in use for years. The eFGMs are available in several sizes from 1.5” to 2.5” NPT. If you have manual CECO FGMs installed, they can be upgraded by simply adding the eFGM actuator.

The ProBalance system provides a streamlined balancing process, allowing for quick adjustments to balance valves while continuously monitoring every cylinder's PFP. Furthermore, generating a PDF balance report is simple; merely click the "As-left" button on the Snapshot wireless tablet and select print, save, or email.

Snapshot™ Engine Balancer
Machinery Monitoring Systems offers a cutting-edge solution for slow-speed, natural gas-fueled engine balancing with its Snapshot Engine Balancer. This portable 2-channel analyzer features an ignition clip that enables operators to validate ignition quality across all cylinders before proceeding with engine balancing. The ignition test promptly provides a green, yellow, or red indication based on breakdown voltage and spark duration, which is adjustable per-engine to suit individual requirements. Once the ignition has been verified, the operator can collect "as-found" balance data and proceed with appropriate adjustments to fuel flow.
The belt-worn data acquisition module of the Snapshot Balancer comes equipped with a rechargeable battery and connectors for a pressure sensor and secondary spark clip. The module wirelessly transmits data to the Snapshot tablet via Bluetooth™, displaying pressure and ignition curves for the operator's convenience. The Snapshot Balancer also provides Engine Balance and Ignition reports in PDF format for saving, printing, or emailing. Furthermore, the Snapshot Balancer's Station|Machine|Route database makes it easily accessible across your company.
