Stack Sampling
Our stack sampling services encompass a wide range of comprehensive tests to assess engines and boilers/heaters performance and emissions levels.
We are experienced with a variety of testing equipment and select the most appropriate technology for each requirement. This includes Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS), Electrochemical Analyzers, Method 5 Sampling Train, and other ancillary equipment for adherence to the required testing methodology.
Emissions Testing Vehicles
The prime technology we use for stack testing in our emissions testing vehicles is Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS), as the performance, accuracy, and reliability far outweigh portable Electrochemical Analyzers.
Our testing units are all self-contained and self-powered 4-wheel drive vehicles to allow safe and reliable access to remote sites
We adhere strictly to the required testing methods and ensure we use the most appropriate technology for each project, and provide detailed reporting for compliance assurance to our customers.
Methane Measurement
Signet has made a significant investment in CEMS technology in all our testing vehicles for measuring stack greenhouse gas emissions. This allows us to test for methane (caused by methane slip), as well as carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide in real-time.
Whether methane measurement is required for increased accuracy of company GHG inventories, or voluntary reporting through organizations like OGMP and MiQ, Signet can provide you with accurate emissions test data.
By partnering with us, you gain valuable insights into the causes of Methane Slip and can develop effective emissions reduction strategies tailored to your operations.
Additional Services
Signet possesses additional technology for special testing projects. This includes a Method 5 Sampling Train for measuring other exhaust constituents like particulate matter (PM) and ammonia (NH3) which is a byproduct of urea injection in some selective catalyst reduction applications.
Signet is also equipped with portable or temporary fuel flow meters that can be connected to existing fuel trains so that an emissions intensity in g/kW-hr can be measured on engines, boilers, and heaters.
Technical Competence
Our staff has a strong mechanical background and vast expertise in engine tuning and balancing. We work closely with your maintenance staff to ensure compliance with targeted emissions levels while maximizing equipment productivity.
